Commendations

Patrolman Daniel Eppolito received a letter of commendation on July 27th, 2006, for outstanding performance in his efforts to negotiate and communicate with an individual threatening to inflict physical harm upon himself. The subject was safely transported for treatment.

Patrolmen Douglas Czora, Michael Masullo, Bruce Green Jr., and Lieutenant Charles Danzi received a letter of commendation on July 28th, 2006, for outstanding performance in the water rescue off of Bennett Beach. The operation was successful when all victims were safety returned to shore.

Evans Police Dispatchers took 2,669 complaints for the month of July 2006.

  • Thirty-five prisoners were held in the Town of Evans Police Lockup in July 2006.

  • One hundred and fifty-nine Police Reports were filed and twenty-two accidents were reported to State of New York as reportable accidents under the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

  • Evans Police Officers issued 241 simplified traffic informations in July of 2006 including:

    Speeding 107
    Seatbelt 10
    DWI Related 19
    License/Permit Violations 24
    Red Lights 15
    Required MV Equipment 9
    Vehicle Registration Violations 4
    Stop Sign 3
    Other 50

    Detective Bureau

  • Sixty-nine people were arrested, mostly for violations of the New York State Penal Law, Alcohol Beverage Control Law and Vehicle and Traffic Law. Eleven people were arrested for DWI.

    Dog Control

    Twenty-five appearance tickets were issued from the Dog Control Office.
