Commendations

Officers Tracey O'Donnell and Jeff Mayer received letters of commendation for the outstanding job they did in securing the arrest of two suspects in a burglary on November 21, 2004.

Officers Robert Macko, Sherry Miller and Dennis Rankin received letters of commendation for the outstanding job they did in stopping a high tech burglary attempt on November 25, 2004.

Evans Police Dispatchers took 1,735 complaints for the month of November 2004.

  • Thirteen prisoners were held in the Town of Evans Police Lockup in November 2004.

  • Ninety-eight Police Reports were filed and thirty-three accidents were reported to State of New York as reportable accidents under the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

  • Evans Police Officers issued 67 simplified traffic informations in November of 2004 including:

    Speeding 28
    Seatbelt 2
    DWI Related 5
    License/Permit Violations 8
    Red Lights 1
    Required MV Equipment 5
    Vehicle Registration Violations 4
    Stop Sign 1
    Other 13

    Detective Bureau

  • Twenty-eight people were arrested, mostly for violations of the New York State Penal Law, Alcohol Beverage Control Law and Vehicle and Traffic Law. Four people were arrested for DWI.

    Dog Control

    Twenty-five appearance tickets were issued from the Dog Control Office.
